Aquamarine 03/25/2010
Some new aquamarine pieces I have made. Aquamarine, the birthstone of March is said to be an "all-Purpose" healing stone. Working with the stone improves one’s overall sense of well-being. Some suggest that aquamarine is used to treat people for whom procrastination is an affliction. It is believed that one who wears aquamarine has a better ability to think clearly and make quick decisions. In addition, it increases one’s access to courage. I just love the color!:) Add Comment GROW Nebraska Store Items 03/19/2010
Just a few of the lovelies I sent to the Grow NE store. Check them out in the malls in Kearney & Grand Island. Love Mends 03/06/2010
This is a pin/brooch where I hammered brass and pieces of copper then cold connected it with swirled sterling silver and rivets. The picture isn't that great, but well you get the idea. Dangle Bangle Cuff 03/05/2010
New Design featuring a hand hammered and forged base cuff adorned with lots of wire coils, squiggles and shapes. Plus a few crystals and glass beads to give a little sparkle! Eastern Repousse Heart 03/04/2010
This is my first attempt at Eastern Repousse. Thank you to Victoria Lansford for her very informational DVD. It takes about 10 rounds of hammering from both the front and the back and different absorbency backgrounds to achieve this puffed heart out of a flat sheet of sterling. It truly is an amazing art form. I plan on practicing lots more. For now you can purchase this beauty on my aquamarine necklace in the shop. Look under the tab, jewelry for sale. New Beads 03/04/2010
Some of the lovely findings from Market in Denver! This is the normal chaos of my jewelry bench when I get back from a buying spree! I am always so excited to see all my new lovelies! New batch of Copper Clay 03/04/2010
Copper Clay - All stamped, shaped and sanded, ready to fired in the kiln. Did have my first bad batch of bronzeclay the other day. I mixed it up with this batch of copper clay and forgot which was which. Not a good thing to do;( Anyhow, fired it at the wrong temp and it pretty much sintered to pieces. I am not sure if I can salvage any of it, but this copper turned out lovely;) Copper Pieces All polished up! First Try Rueger Fold 03/01/2010
Thanks to Charles Lewton Brain and his foldforming book! Love to hammer! So the top picture is the flat hammered copper. The bottom is when I unfolded it and polished it abit! How fun! | 2012 Shows
