Anyhow, this awesome lady has some serious patience!  She taught me how to DRAW! then saw out my metal, sand & polish it, solder it, attach prongs, pattern the metal, create a bezel, but on a bail and on and on!  What do you think?

This one is Peanut Wood, a petrified wood from Australia.  I tried to repeat some of the design on the copper which I then sanded & put on a patina.  The copper is soldered to sterling.

This one is Picasso Ammonite set in sterling & accented with Sterling Silver swirls.

]]><![CDATA[New Wild Wire Necklace ]]>Mon, 26 Mar 2012 04:57:34 -0800http://www.ibeadunique.com/1/post/2012/03/new-wild-wire-necklace.htmlFinally added some items for sale in the shop.  I have plenty made, but haven't been to inspired to work on anything lately.  I think that comes from being overly busy.  & trying to come up with some ingenious new crafty idea that would be truly my own.  I still have this kunondrum of "What do I want to truly do with my life....?"  So I listen to tons of inspiring books, but lots of inspiring books (which I never finish) and continue to think, "am I on the right path?" 

Well, anyhow, besides finding many awesome new websites, blogs and youtube videos, I stumbled upon the following.

I haven't quite figured out all I am going to work on, but I placed an order with www.dickblick.com yesterday and feel I am on my way to something new!  Stay posted as I think I will show some photos and maybe even video (what?) of my experimentation!

Any who, back to the necklace.  Here is a pic of something that was pretty outside my box.  I think it turned out pretty cool.  Now it just needs to find the right person to take it home!

Ahhh, the sunshine, the great food, the humidity & heat (yes I do love that part!) and the laid back atmosphere were just what I needed.  Maybe now I can incorporate some of those bright vivid hues into something fun for spring!
