New show stuff ~ out the door 07/16/2010
These little lovelies debuted at Kearney Art in the Park last weekend. What can I say, the weather was beautiful, the customers were cheery and some new things just flew off the neckboards!. This was a sterling wire cuff embellished with all sorts of crystals and unique glass. Below was a citrusy concoction of clay beads with some dyed howlite and brass chain. The orangey clay beads are from an artist out of Colorado who does such marvelous work! The glaze finishes are so mottled and artistic - it makes the beads so fun to work with;) Turguoise and some freshwater pearls with sterling - I so love this combination! The top is a Swarovski crystal rivoli that I embellished with sterling silver wire, glass and crystals. I learned this technique from Lisa Niven Kelly - the goddess of wire! The picture below features a copper repousse pendant I hand hammered and forged. This process takes many times of hammering from first the front and then the back. It starts from just a plain square of copper sheet. It always amazes me what you can do with some plain old metal! I then set it off with some gorgeous crazy lace agates that were a beautiful turquoise blue with rich veins of copper running through them. CommentsLeave a Reply | 2012 Shows
